John asks:  The a/c heater blower fan motor only works on high, there is no low or mediums. Do you know what it could be?

Usually this is an indication that your fan speed switch is bad and not making contact on the low and medium speeds. Replacement of the switch will cure the problem.

Good Luck John, and drive safe…

Gene asks:  My 2004 Buick LeSabre Ltd (35000 miles) air conditioner will not start until I give the dash board a firm rap above the controls or go over a good bump in the road. Any ideas? thanks

Gene, install a speed bump in your driveway, just kidding!

It sounds to me like you have a loose connection behind the instrument panel. But first replace the fuse to the AC just in case it is faulty.

Samantha asks:

I have a problem with my 1999 Ford Taurus. My AC has had problems off and on lately. It has the automatic controlled system. It works fine for 30 - 40 minutes on a hot day and then starts to blow warm air. If I turn off the AC for a short time, like 5 minutes, sometimes the problem disappears and it works fine again. Do you know what’s going on? I checked for low refrigerant and it’s fine. Can you help me out, Dave?

Samantha, your car is equipped with EATC, meaning “electronic air temperature control” which is great until problems begin.
